Matthew Brooker
This tour is fully self-funded. Please support Matthew Brooker by buying a ticket and help bring our club’s purpose to the global stage.
Matthew Brooker discovered lifesaving at the age of 10 and has never looked back. His passion, dedication and talent have seen him progress from a young nipper to one of South Africa’s rising lifesaving stars.
Matthew has proudly represented South Africa at international level, including selection for the President’s Junior Team (Orange Cup), the Senior Protea Team (Commonwealth Championships), and the President’s Senior Team (ISRC New Zealand). In 2026, he broke the South African U19 Boys 200m Super Lifesaver record and claimed the Victor Ludorum title at the National Championships.
Passionate about both surf and stillwater competition, Matthew is driven by a love for the sport, the friendships it creates, and the opportunity to make a difference through beach safety and water education. He is currently fundraising to represent Clifton and South Africa on the world stage at the Lifesaving World Championships.
