My name is Kendra Beresford, and I have had the honour of representing the Western Cape team on three occasions. Most recently, I travelled to New Zealand as a member of the Presidents Team to compete at the ISRC.

The upcoming Lifesaving World Championships hold special significance for me. Kings Beach was the first beach where I competed as a nipper at the South African Championships, and it is where my journey in the sport began. Having the opportunity to return to that same beach and compete against athletes from around the world feels like a true full-circle moment. It is incredibly meaningful to represent my club on the very beach where I first discovered my passion for lifesaving sport.
